The legendary Martin Scorsese is once again in the running for the Oscar for Best Director for his stellar collaboration with Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio in ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’.
Although predictions mostly favor Christopher Nolan to take home the award for his epic ‘Oppenheimer’ , Scorsese is aiming to secure his second statuette on his tenth nomination, placing him as the living filmmaker with the most nominations ahead of Spielberg.
With over 25 films and 55 years of work, Scorsese shows no signs of slowing down. He’s not just a director, but also works as a writer and producer. Despite his successful career, his only Oscar for Best Director came in 2007 for ‘The Departed’, the DiCaprio and Nicholson blockbuster that also snagged the award for Best Picture.
