Hollywood’s one of the brightest stars makes a grand return. The legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger is stepping back in front of the camera after a five-year hiatus.

He’s doing so alongside Alan Ritchson, the star of ‘Reacher,’ the highly praised Prime Video series, which is currently shooting its third season.

So, what do we know about this new film? Titled ‘The Man With the Bag’ and directed by Adam Shankman, the holiday-themed movie promises to be a blend of humor and festive spirit, as exclusively reported by Deadline.

Schwarzenegger and Ritchson in ‘The Man With the Bag’

The plot of ‘The Man With the Bag’ on Prime Video revolves around Santa Claus recruiting a former thief to retrieve his magical bag of stolen toys. Although Amazon MGM, the film’s producer, has yet to confirm Schwarzenegger’s role, indications are strong that he’ll be playing the old Santa Claus, with Alan Ritchson potentially taking on the role of the reformed thief turned Santa’s helper.

“When Santa Claus’s magical sack is stolen, he turns to his naughty list to find Vance, a former thief, to help him retrieve it. Along with his daughter, Santa, and a band of misfit elves, Vance will have to pull off the heist of his lifetime to save Christmas.”

It appears this new film is slated for release in 2024, though 2025 could also be its premiere year. Needless to say, the anticipation to see Schwarzenegger in a holiday role is high. Who could forget Arnold’s beloved character in ‘Jingle All the Way’? While those iconic scenes with Turboman won’t be making a comeback, the holiday spirit surely will in this new Terminator star’s film.
