The series is one of Prime Video’s major successes, with a 94% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes and it has been delighting the platform’s viewers.
Production underway on a third season of Jack Reacher
For fans of the series, there’s good news. Alan Ritchson, the star of ‘Reacher’, appeared in a video for the Prime Video CCXP convention in Brazil, where he announced the start of filming for season 3. In fact, in December last year, he shared a post on Instagram where he appeared covering his tattoos for the recording of the new season.
When could the third season of ‘Reacher’ be released? Possible dates
Season 1, filmed from April 2021 until July 2021, premiered on February 4, 2022. The production of Season 2, which spanned from the fall of 2022 to the end of February 2023, was released in December 2023. This third season could wrap up filming in March of this year, so we could possibly have a release towards the end of the year. All this is considering the actors’ and writers’ strike, which delayed recordings for some months.
The plot of the third season
Nothing is known about which of the Lee Child books the third season will be based upon. Ritchson did say that “it’s one of his favorite books” and that “it would make people very happy”, but gave no further clues. In fact, the protagonist explained to ComicBook that the next season will have classic Reacher stories on a grand scale.
